We teach all subjects from pre-school to college level. All tutoring is one-on-one with a highly qualified tutor. Sessions are either 1/2 hour or 1 hour long, and we offer several flexible payment plans as well as free testing.

Ms. Tracy, Owner and Director of Quick Stars Tutoring, graduated from Punahou school with honors and an advanced placement curriculum. She attended Claremont Mckenna College and graduated from the University of Hawai’i with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Ms. Tracy has tutored for 25 years and opened Quick Stars in 2004. She has training with both special education and gifted students.
Mr. Kyle is a popular and versatile tutor who currently teaches algebra II and AP seminar at Mililani High School. He graduated magna cum laude from Hawai’i Pacific University with a bachelor’s in communication. He has a master’s in secondary education from the University of Phoenix. While Mr. Kyle is excellent with students of all ages, his specialty subjects are high school math and test prep. He has been with Quick Stars for four years.
Ms. Theta is an experienced and fun tutor who has over 30 years tutoring experience. She has a degree in mathematics from Humboldt State University and has successfully home-schooled her five children. Ms. Theta goes above and beyond to help her students succeed and has played an integral role at Quick Stars for seven years, teaching a variety of subjects.
Ms. Meghan is a patient and bright tutor who has been an incredible asset to Quick Stars for eight years. She attended the University of Oregon and obtained a B.A. in English from the University of Hawai’i. Her specialty subjects are English and writing.
Ms. Erin is a lively and highly requested tutor who teaches fifth grade at Nanakuli Elementary. She has a bachelor’s in psychology and a master of education in teaching from the University of Hawai’i. Her specialty is elementary education.
Mr. Andrew is a charismatic and humorous tutor who also teaches at Kanoelani Elementary. He has a bachelor’s degree in speech and communication from Clemson University and a master’s degree in K-6 from University of New Haven. He has been with Quick Stars for five years and is proficient at teaching reading, writing and math.
Ms. Kris is an enthusiastic and mature tutor who has taught at Quick Stars for eight years. She received a B.A. in art and a professional diploma in elementary education from the University of Hawai’i. Her specialty subjects are phonics and beginning reading.
Ms. Lori is a sophisticated and veteran tutor who has a bachelor of education in elementary education, with a minor in language arts from the University of Hawai’i. With the DOE, she taught grades three to six, and currently teaches at Waikele Elementary. Ms. Lori has also worked as a math curriculum coordinator and complex area math resource teacher. She has been with Quick Stars for three years, and her specialty is K-6.
Mr. Vi is an animated and spirited tutor who taught high school chemistry, physics, biology, and earth science for nine years in California. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Hawai’i Manoa and a master’s in physical chemistry from the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Vi currently works as a chemist for the Department of Health. He specializes in science, but also teaches reading, writing, and math from pre-k to high school.
Ms. Linda is a warm and nurturing tutor. She has a bachelor of science and a master of business from University of Phoenix in San Jose, California. She earned a Certificate of Completion for Career and Technical Education from Leeward Community College, and also obtained her teacher’s license. She has extensive business and technical experience, both in the U.S. and in Asia. Her specialty subjects are Japanese, English, finance and technology.
Ms. Nashea is a skilled and positive tutor. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education from the University of Hawai’i Manoa and a master’s in education: literacy from the American college of Education. She currently teaches at Waikele Elementary and is proficient with pre-k to middle school students.
Ms. Cynthia is a creative and seasoned tutor who worked as a high school English teacher, counselor and Student Services Coordinator for 37 years. She has a bachelor’s in secondary education from the University of Hawai‘i and a master’s in counseling psychology from Chaminade. Throughout her teaching career, Ms. Cynthia worked as a Department of Education tutor with students of all levels from special needs to gifted. She has been with Quick Stars for seven years, and her specialty subject is English.
Mr. Edmar is a kind and genius tutor who has taught math including algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus AB and BC at Waipahu High School over the last 13 years. He also served as the mathematics curriculum specialist for the school and district. Mr. Edmar graduated with distinction with a bachelor of education in secondary mathematics from the University of Hawai’i. He has tutored at Quick Stars for two years, and his specialties are high school math and SAT/ACT math prep.
Ms. Sheila is a professional and effective tutor who enjoys helping students be successful. She has a bachelor of arts in education from the University of Findlay and a master’s in curriculum studies from the University of Hawai’i Manoa. For the past 18 years, she has taught English at Mililani High School. She has been with Quick Stars for two years, and is eager to help students with writing, reading, English and test prep.
Ms. Cheryl is an encouraging and highly qualified tutor with a bachelor of education degree in secondary education English and master’s in education administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has taught English to students in grades 7 – 12 at Farrington High, Washington Intermediate, Kawananakoa Intermediate, and Kamehameha Schools. She is currently the Dean of Student Activities at Kamehameha Schools. Her specialty is English/language arts.
Ms. Michele is an articulate and bubbly tutor who has great rapport with her students. She graduated magna cum laude from California State Fullerton with a B.A. in child and adolescent development. She is adept with students of all ages.
Mr. Troy is a friendly and organized tutor who also teaches algebra II at Mililani High School. He obtained a bachelor’s in economics with a minor in English at the University of Hawai’i Manoa. His specialty subject is math.
Mr. Koji is an outgoing and focused tutor who teaches fifth grade at Nanakuli Elementary. He has a bachelor’s degree in ethnic studies from the University of Oregon and a master’s in education from the University of Hawai’i. He is outstanding with elementary school students.
Ms. Karina is an upbeat and artistic tutor. She holds a B.A. in digital media production from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s of education from Concordia University. She is currently a social studies teacher at Kapolei Middle School and is excellent with students from pre-school to grade eight.
Mr. Geuseppe is an ingenius and humble tutor who has a bachelor of science in mathematics and a master of arts in mathematics from the University of Hawai’i Manoa. He has worked as a teaching assistant at the UH Manoa math department and tutors through the calculus level.
Ms. Anisha is a fresh and buoyant tutor who also works as a special education teacher at Kanoelani Elementary. She holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology, special education, elementary education and early childhood education from Marist College. She primarily works with K-6.
Ms. Cathy is a dedicated and energetic tutor who teaches at Nanakuli Elementary. She holds a bachelor’s in political science and sociology from the University of Hawai’i and a master’s in elementary education from University of Phoenix. She has been with Quick Stars for four years and is comfortable tutoring pre-school through middle school students.
